Tough Game, St Columbans 4 CFC 1

Well - time will tell if this was the toughest game of the season but it will be up there for sure. This team won the league at a canter last year so we knew what we would be up against.Three mistakes in the first half led to three goals, despite us having a reasonably bright start. The second half was a much better affair though to be fair we did not make too many clear cut chances.What was most satisfying was the way the guys on the bench fitted in when needed. Everyone played a part and did well I thought. We know exactly what we need to do to make the next step so we will be working hard on that in the weeks to come. That difference is simply working for each other off the ball. That is what we lacked compared to our opposition - I seemm to recall that was the most noticable difference against the Monkton team as well.Anyway - we're trying out this 'blog' in place of the match reports - lets hear what you think.
